On behalf of the Lima Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our web site. It is our hope this site will serve as a communication resource for the citizens and visitors we serve by providing information about the department and its personnel.
Our members, of every rank and position, both sworn and civilian, are committed to serving the community to the best of our ability. It is our mission to work in partnership with the community to improve the quality of life by creatively solving problems related to crime, fear of crime, neighborhood decay and to safeguard the constitutional rights of all. It is only through a police – community partnership that the Lima Police Department can truly be successful in accomplishing the task of making the City of Lima a safer, better community in which to live and work. You will find, as you look through our web site, examples of the partnerships that exist between department members, citizens, businesses and other governmental agencies. I hope you will find ways in which you, too, can partner with us if you are not already doing so.
You will find, as you look through our site, that citizen/police partnerships are the foundation on which our current and future plans are built. The department's success today and in the future is reliant upon the many partnerships that exist between department members, citizens, businesses, and other governmental agencies.
